Free Cabinet and TV

I have a TV "entertainment center." It is light beech colored wood; holds a large TV with side cabinet space for stereo, dvd player, etc. Will give to whoever can haul it away.

Also have a 28" TV to give. I have to literally slap it periodically to get a picture and would think it is easily repairable. This is also free to anyone who will pick it up.

Email me at mclark@tenth.org if interested.

Volunteers Needed

The ACTS Community Dinner is looking for volunteers this coming Sunday, June 10, to help serve meals to the guests. Due to a scheduling conflict, the group that was scheduled to serve has had to cancel. Duties are simple: serve the food and the drinks to the guests. Arrive before 2 PM. The dinner will be finished between 3:30 and 4 PM.

If you are interested in volunteering to serve this coming Sunday, please contact Gwen Plut at gmp2cor520@comcast.net. We're looking for a head count of 6 to 12 volunteers, so it'll be helpful to know in advance whether you're planning to serve. Thank you!

Odunde Festival

Dori Baggs sends this alert:

The Odunde Festival is this Sunday (it's always the 2nd Sunday in June). The festival closes down South Street. So there will be many detours and of course it makes parking (especially for the evening service!) difficult on all surrounding streets.

Sparrows and Secret Sisters

All girls, teens and women ages 5 years old and up are invited to the Sparrows year end craft and devotional this Saturday, June 9th, from 1:00-3:00 in Fellowship Hall. If you have been an older sister praying for a younger sister this year, please contact her to find out if she'll be attending Saturday and plan to be there if possible We will be enjoying a special dessert to celebrate this year end event!
