Ditty Bag Donations Needed

Mission to Chinese Seamen serves the physical and spiritual needs of seafarers in the Port of Philadelphia. Each year they put together a "ditty bag" of gloves, hats, scarves, and a Christmas card for the merchant seamen.
If you'd like to participate, you can:
1. Buy or make Christmas cards and add a personal message.
2. Send a donation for purchasing ditty bag items ($6 buys items for one bag). Donations should be made to "Mission to Chinese Seamen" and sent in care of Janice Hill, 349 McMull Drive, Strafford, PA 19087, and write "Ditty Bag" on the memo line.
3. Help pack ditty bags 10:30 a.m. on December 13 at the Seamen's Church Institute at 475 North 5th Street in Philadelphia. The goal is to pack more than 1500 bags!
For more information, contact Rev. Byeong Lee at 215-852-1723.

A letter to a departed soul

“…[Your art] is the most accessible inroad into your mind, which– as sincere and honest as you are– is still veiled in mystery. Your paintings, to me, speak to your love of your fellow men and women and to your love of God.”

Thus begins a tribute to the late Bart Brooks, who died last week. Bart was much loved and appreciated by many Tenth members and friends. To read this piece click here.
